A new report from EY shows 24% of Canadian executives begin implementing cyber and security practices in planning stages of projects, IT World Canada reports. EY surveyed 71 Canadian organizations as part of a global survey executed between March and May, and released the Canada-specific results Oct. 21. Nearly one quarter of chief information security officers reported their teams were either consulted too late or not at all during strategic planning steps, and 34% of executives felt cybersecurity was flexible and collaborative.
