ZDNet reports a website U.S. citizens use to buy train tickets in Europe suffered a data breach. In a letter submitted to the California attorney general, Rail Europe was hit with malware from November 2017 to February 2018, with credit card numbers, expiration dates, card verification codes, names, genders, addresses and email addresses among the stolen information. The company said it has “replaced and rebuilt” the affected systems but did not know how hackers were able to infiltrate the system, nor the number of people compromised by the breach.
