Phone-chip company Qualcomm said Monday the next generation “Snapdragon 820 processor,” which is used in many Android phones, will be “the first chip that uses machine learning to detect threats and privacy issues,” Fortune reports. That’s thanks to an application called Snapdragon Smart Protect, which is capable of responding to threats as they evolve in real time, the report states. The technology is expected to be on the market next year.
