PwC US has announced it has acquired Minnesota Privacy Consultants (MPC), including MPC’s privacy professionals and network. The move will expand PwC’s Data Protection and Privacy practice. MPC works with public- and private-sector organizations by helping them locate, classify, control and systematically retire sensitive data. With the move, MPC Founder and President Jay Cline, CIPP/US, and his team, will become part of PwC’s Risk Assurance Practice. PwC’s Dean Simone said, “At a time when well-publicized cybersecurity threats and data privacy breaches have underscored the critical nature of these issues to both businesses and consumers, the addition of MPC will further strengthen and expand PwC’s data protection and privacy resources.”
