The California Privacy Rights Act establishes a range of new protections for state residents including the right for consumers to limit the use and disclosure of their sensitive personal information. Future of Privacy Forum Christopher Wolf Diversity Law Fellow Katelyn Ringrose, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, analyzes the categories of sensitive data under the CPRA, obligations for companies to consider, and whether it's a good model for regulating use and disclosure of sensitive data. She also raises three questions for California policymakers to address through rulemaking.
