Police Service of Northern Ireland will begin deleting DNA records of individuals convicted of driving under the influence in September, after the European Court of Human Rights ruled indefinite storage of the data is a breach of privacy, Q Radio reports. Human Rights Commission Chief Commissioner Les Allamby said legislation and revised policy are needed to ensure human rights standards are met. Chief Constable Simon Byrne said the PSNI is committed to action.
