Deputy Alessandro Molon unveiled a proposal to suspend provisions within Decree No. 10,747 that would establish Brazil's Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, according to the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies. Molon argued in the proposal the decree does not offer the ANPD the autonomy that is given under the country's General Data Protection Law and gives President Jair Bolsonaro imbalanced influence in who makes the ANPD's advisory board.
