While the smart-home category is one of the fastest-growing areas of technology, a recent PCMag survey of U.S. consumers found 40 percent of respondents noted privacy as a major concern. The survey, which focused on smart-home preferences, compiled responses from 2,075 U.S. consumers over the age of 18. While privacy ranked number one, 35 percent of respondents noted the cost of technology as a concern.
