A pair of notable Canadian privacy developments was among the topics discussed at an IAPP KnowledgeNet meeting hosted by PwC in Boston, Massachusetts. A panel of privacy professionals offered its thoughts on the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s decisions to place Equifax on a six-year "compliance agreement" for its 2017 data breach and to launch a consultation for its plans to revise its policy position on trans-border data flows under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
