Tech solutions are increasingly a part of a privacy pros’ purview. Here's a look at a crop of new privacy- and security-based tools that should be on your radar. 


NSFOCUS Threat Intelligence platform

The Threat Intelligence platform from NSFOCUS aims to develop both strategic and tactical intelligence for users so that they better grasp the global threat landscape. It features include threat analysis reports, a command and control function and malware hashes. Subscriptions are available on the NSFOCUS website. 


Diligent from NSFOCUS

NSFOCUS' Diligent program looks to both streamline and secure board evaluation processes, from administration to analyzation. It includes of reports users can run, with customer-tested questions and  easy-to-use integration features for both directors and administrators.  Demos are available on the Diligent site.  


NSFOCUS Web Application Security Platform

This program combines NSFOCUS' Web Application Firewall, Web Vulnerability Scanning System and Global Threat Intelligence technology to halt attacks and keep web applications safe. The tool is available for cloud or on-premises use.  


 SIMBUS Risk Management

The newest offering from SIMBUS is its Risk Management HIPAA compliance tool, specifically for the financial, insurance, and health care sectors. Developed by Rebecca Herold, CIPM, CIPP/US, CIPT, FIP, and David Greek, the tool has report generation functionality, gives recommendations to the user based on findings and includes a corrective action plan.


Big ID's Enterprise Privacy Management Platform

After its RSA debut, the Enterprise Privacy Management Platform is now generally available with pricing plans, BigID reports. The tool uses machine learning and "identity intelligence" to help companies and other organizations protect their users' information. Additionally, it focuses on ways clients can comply with General Data Protection Regulation data use policies.
