Open-source browser Ghostery is proposing a “privacy nutrition label” to better inform users how their data is being used by companies, TechRadar Pro reports. “One of the largest roadblocks right now to consumer comprehension about their data and where it’s being collected and shared is privacy policies,” Ghostery President Jeremy Tillman said. A privacy nutrition label would be “quick and scannable” for users to “look at to see what the privacy impact of a digital service is before they use it, the same way they would look at nutrition info before eating a candy bar.”
