DataGrail, a data privacy compliance startup, announced it raised $5 million in new funding, SiliconANGLE reports. DataGrail's platform helps companies understand and meet the regulations for both the EU General Data Protection Regulation and California Consumer Privacy Act. The platform integrates hundreds of applications and infrastructure systems to inventory and map personal data to help companies achieve compliance. "Companies need a data privacy partner that can help them take an inventory of applications and solutions that may have data, map the data, then operationalize privacy requests," DataGrail Co-Founder and CEO Daniel Barber said.
