Andrew Serwin, CIPP/C, CIPP/E, CIPP/G, CIPP/US, CIPM, is joining DLA Piper's 150-lawyer data protection group in San Diego, Law.com reports. Serwin, who is departing from Morrison & Foerster after six years, cited his global clientele as a big factor in his decision to jump on board with DLA Piper. “Cyber and privacy, they are the hottest issue globally,” Serwin said. “Companies realize that their brand and trust are locked up in their privacy and security issues, so you have increased regulation, and companies are paying more attention to it.” Serwin has been practicing since 1972 with a focus in the privacy and security space.
