Amid concerns over Amazon's relationship with law enforcement, Yahoo asked a Ring spokesperson, a cybersecurity expert and an investigative researcher about protecting data gathered on Amazon and Ring devices. The "good news," Yahoo reported, is "there are plenty of privacy settings you can employ to protect your data." Electronic Frontier Foundation Investigative Researcher Beryl Lipton said, "Everytime a piece of technology is brought into the home that is connected to the internet, to other devices, or to networks outside the home, there are concerns related to privacy and security."
