Privacy engineering is a burgeoning field with significant implications for the future of the privacy profession. The IAPP aims to facilitate this growing field, in part, by having created a new Privacy Engineering Section. On March 29, the day after the IAPP Global Privacy Summit, we will host our inaugural Privacy Engineering Section Forum. In this post for Privacy Tech, Georgia Tech Professor Annie Antón, who chairs the IAPP Privacy Engineering Section Advisory Board, offers a sneak peek into the themes for next week's post-Summit event. "We are only just beginning to define this emerging field, and we want you to be a part of that process," Antón writes. "If your work in any way engages you in either developing, assessing or using methodologies, tools and techniques that seek to engineer privacy into systems, the IAPP Privacy Engineering Section is for you."
