In an op-ed for Yukon News, Privacy Commissioner of Canada Daniel Therrien and Yukon Information and Privacy Commissioner Diane McLeod-McKay marked Privacy Awareness Week by extending offers to help organizations "understand their obligations and comply with the law in regards to protecting personal information." The commissioners went on to remind organizations about whether they are subject to privacy law, as well as offer brief tips and best practices for compliance. "Businesses would be wise to recognize and embrace privacy measures as a competitive advantage," the commissioners wrote.
