A privacy impact assessment on Australia's Data Availability and Transparency Bill calls for federal agencies to subject to the same accreditation requirements seen in the private sector, iTWire reports. The proposed bill would permit accredited users and data service providers to access information for a set number of purposes. Information Integrity Solutions, the organization that performed the PIA, also called for the bill to be amended to allow the National Data Commissioner to seek evidence from agencies to support accreditation applications.
