In a complaint with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, a group of privacy advocacy organizations said TikTok violated children’s privacy rules, Reuters reports. The group alleges the social media app did not take down all videos made by children under the age of 13 and did not delete personal information of users 12 and under, as required under a consent agreement with the FTC. Meanwhile, a lawsuit filed by four Illinois minors accuses TikTok of violating users’ privacy rights.
