President Donald Trump will likely sign an executive order on cybersecurity, signaling the first step toward addressing what he called a top priority of his new administration, Reuters reports. The order is expected to start several reviews of the government’s offensive and defensive cyber competencies. According to a draft published by The Washington Post, the order is expected to initiate an audit of various federal agencies’ cyber capabilities, ask for input on the best ways to improve protections for critical infrastructure, and examine government efforts to recruit and train a technically sophisticated workplace. The draft order also seeks ways to give the private sector incentives to implement strong security measures.
