Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority published a guide on student privacy defining the challenges and risks in schools and online. The guide, intended for school administrators, staff, parents and students, includes recommendations for protecting student privacy when implementing “new and evolving” technologies and details on the use of surveillance cameras in schools. Acting Head of the PPA Shlomit Wegman said the guide was developed “with a vision for the future and the identification of technologies that have the potential to infringe on privacy.”
