The Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union has drafted another iteration of the ePrivacy Regulation, EURACTIV.com reports. The latest ePrivacy proposal reintroduces security provisions on the processing of metadata and allows for data stored on end-users' terminal equipment to be processed with consent. It would also go into effect 24 months from the date of entry into force, as previous ePrivacy drafts had stood at 12 months.
