Tim Sparapani grew up with an understanding of the importance of privacy. His parents, products of the '60s, were very concerned about government intrusion on its citizens. After 9/11, he took a job at the American Civil Liberties Union to, in part, combat unfair surveillance and policies like the No-Fly List. He later worked as director of public policy at Facebook and as vice president at the App Developers' Alliance, where he worked on government affairs, and policy. In this episode of The Privacy Advisor Podcast, Sparapani discusses his experiences in privacy thus far, as well as more topical issues like the Federal Communications Commission's new role in regulating telecommunications companies, and why we should ask for a "do over" on that.
