Despite being told in school he was too introverted and nervous a speaker to become a litigator, Jay Edelson is now one of best-known lawyers in the field, in part because of his aggressive pursuit of giant tech firms and their uses of consumer data. Currently, he’s in the midst of fighting the well-known Spokeo case. In this episode of The Privacy Advisor Podcast, Edelson talks about how he’s been able to craft winning court arguments using his background in philosophy, the satisfaction he admittedly gets in taking down the big guys, and whether he’s actually the “most hated man in Silicon Valley,” as he’s been nicknamed.
