The Philippine National Police said citizens' privacy rights will not be infringed upon as it monitors social media activity to identify those who violate rules on mass gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Philippine Star reports. Concerns of surveillance abuse have risen since the PNP's recently announced directive went into effect. "We will not invade their privacy. In fact, we don’t care about what happens inside homes in regard to quarantine rules," PNP Deputy Chief for Administration Guillermo Eleazar said.
