Inquirer.net reports Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte wants more stringent enforcement of his country's privacy laws to discourage future data breaches and scams. "We must patrol the country’s cyberspace and enforce online consumer and data protection and privacy laws," Duterte said, noting the e-commerce space is a "borderless environment." He added, "We must run after online scammers and those undermining the people’s trust in online transactions."
