The Peruvian Council of Ministers signed legislation to establish the National Authority for Transparency, Access to Public Information and Protection of Personal Data. The agency will have the power to issue sanctions against parties found to have violated the Law of Transparency and Access to Public Information and the Law of Protection of Personal Data. The bill will next be presented to the Congress of the Republic.
