The International Technology Association of Canada and Information Technology Industry Council published a paper Oct. 4 suggesting changes to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act that would include greater privacy and transparency rights for Canadian citizens. “These changes have been proposed, no doubt, due to the wave of privacy and security breaches that have occurred recently,” UPPmarket Data Privacy Officer DeAndra-Demoyne George writes in this piece for Privacy Perspectives.
