Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., pulled a vote on the reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, The Hill reports. Pelosi's decision comes as the bill to bring back the surveillance programs was met with bipartisan opposition. The Department of Justice said it will oppose the House-proposed changes to FISA and has urged President Donald Trump to veto the bill. The Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board plans to hold its own review of FISA and its use by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
