The Canadian Press reports the three former Prince Edward Island government employees who had their information leaked to the press after they came forward with allegations of corruption have sued several former provincial officials. Former Premier Robert Ghiz has been named in the lawsuit, as well as former Innovation Minister Allan Campbell, former Deputy Minister of Economic Development Michael Mayne and former Liberal Party Spokesman Spencer Campbell. The plaintiffs allege in the lawsuit the defendants created a “strategy … to undermine the plaintiffs’ credibility by portraying them as liars, ‘crazy,’ or partisan towards the Prince Edward Island Conservative Party.”
