The U.S. Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board announced it will hold a virtual forum June 24 on the current and future prospects of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. The PCLOB will hear from a five-person panel on "the FISA process, the law’s use for counterterrorism, challenges for privacy and civil liberties, and proposals for changes to the law." The forum was established in the wake of recent FISA developments and a report in March done by the Department of Justice's Office of the Inspector General.
