A Canadian ranger in the Northwest Territories found hundreds of medical records at the Fort Simpson dump, CBC News reports. The majority of the records were created in the late 1990s; however, some of the information was taken down as recently as 2010. The files contained information on patients’ mental health and history of drug use, as well as social insurance and treaty and health care numbers. The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority has been notified of the discovery and started an investigation into the discovery of the records.
