Mongolia's State Great Khural announced it has begun consideration of the Draft Law on the Protection of Personal Information. A joint discussion on the bill was held between the Standing Committee on Legal Affairs and the Standing Committee on Innovation and e-Policy. The bill outlines responsibilities and requirements for data processors and controllers, contains data subject rights and includes provisions for international data transfers. If approved, the law would come into force Nov. 1.
