- A breach of a Calgary Parking Authority data server exposed personal information, including some user passwords, of an unknown number of drivers across the city, the Calgary Herald reports. The CPA said security measures were implemented “to restrict unauthorized access to the data” and Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta was notified.
- Personal information of Homewood Health’s mental health and addiction treatment services clients was accessed and placed for sale online, the Edmonton Journal reports. Data marketplace Marketo claimed to be selling over 180 gigabytes of data, including the names, location and counseling details of more than 250 Workers’ Compensation Board of Alberta employees.
