A panel of tech companies and other assorted professionals recommended India establish a regulator for non-personal and anonymized data, Reuters reports. The regulator should be able to request data and supervise information requests, the panel said in a draft report. It added companies should be legally required to disclose how they collect and store any information that has been stripped of any identifying information. The report will be sent to India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology once it is finalized by the panel.
