Sarr touts anonymization tactics as potential solutions before discussing the need to jumpstart regulatory efforts, noting how African countries "have for some time lagged behind their global counterparts."
  • Business Daily published an op-ed calling on Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner to increase its regulatory activity. The publisher pointed to an Ernst & Young survey showing 41% of Kenyan firms transferred data to third parties in violation of the Data Protection Act.
