Privacy Commissioner of Canada Daniel Therrien announced the March launch of a consultation with stakeholders in preparation for federal privacy law reform. The consultation will include review of how the Office of the Privacy Commissioner could improve engagement with stakeholders and will solicit views on procedural safeguards that should be included in new legislation. “While we await the tabling of legislation, we believe it is valuable to hear from stakeholders at this early stage of the transition process,” Therrien said.
