In an op-ed for The Seattle Times, Jon Pincus, Aneelah Afzali and Jennifer Lee discuss how the next attempt at passing the Washington Privacy Act should lean toward the protection of people's rights rather than "corporations’ wish lists." Noting a prior op-ed that called for the same legislation that already failed twice in the Washington Legislature, the writers said the Legislature "needs to take a different path." They went on to list potential provisions that previously failed and their recommendations for those that could succeed.
