In an op-ed for Slate, Common Sense Media Policy Director Joseph Jerome, CIPP/US, breaks down the potential privacy pitfalls associated with Facebook's Project Aria and augmented realities in general. Jerome said Project Aria and its live mapping seek to digitize life, including a move to "replace billboards with digital advertising," and will do so through Facebook's "vast stores of location data and some of the most advanced machine-learning capabilities on the planet."
