In an op-ed for The Washington Post, Catherine Rampell writes on a "digital disruption" taking place with the effects of big data trickling into the arts and entertainment world. "There are philosophical questions about who should get credit for an artistic work if it was conjured not solely through human imagination but rather by reflecting and remixing customer data," Rampell writes. The "remixing" Rampell refers to is the refinement of creative works through personal data, allowing "customer tastes and patterns [to be] tracked, analyzed and then plugged into creative decisions."
