A class-action lawsuit alleges internet content subscription service OnlyFans’ age verification system violates Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act. In the suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court, the complainant, identified as Jane Doe, argues the company’s biometric verification system used to verify content creators’ ages and identities resulted in collection of facial biometrics from Illinois residents without explanation of how the images would be handled and ultimately destroyed. The complaint seeks $1,000 to $5,000 per violation.
