Despite the privacy uproar that was caused when Facebook recently disclosed it had used user data to see “if emotions were contagious,” OKCupid this week disclosed the results of three experiments it recently conducted on users, including whether users rated potential matches’ personality in correlation with their looks, The New York Times reports. OKCupid’s user agreement does state that, upon signing up to use the site, personal data may be used for research and analysis. (Registration may be required to access this story.)
