Maureen Ohlhausen announced she will be departing the U.S. Federal Trade Commission after her term as commissioner expires Wednesday. Ohlhausen has served as commissioner since she was sworn in April 4, 2012, and held the title of acting chairman of the FTC from January 2017 to May 2018. Ohlhausen also spent four years as the FTC director of the office of policy planning. “It has been a great privilege to serve the American people through the different leadership positions I’ve held in this wonderful agency, including my time as acting chairman,” Ohlhausen said.
