The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner has confirmed its investigation into whether Veda Advantage’s data marketing subsidiary Inivio violated the Privacy Act after a consumer complaint, ABC reports. Complainant Kylie Miller said she began receiving solicitations for credit services in the mail after refinancing through Veda, the report states. “After investigating how the lenders obtained her name and address, Miller said she discovered they had been sent an alert by Inivio,” the report adds. The OAIC has since sent Veda questions about the incident, to which the company is set to reply sometime during the week of 26 May.
