In observance of Children's Week, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner offered a reminder regarding the importance of children's privacy. "Parents are telling us they are concerned about their children’s privacy, even more than their own privacy,” Commissioner Angelene Falk said, adding children should be "empowered to use the internet and online services" while maintaining data privacy. The OAIC also offered children's privacy revelations from its Australian Community Attitudes to Privacy Survey.
