New Zealand's Office of the Privacy Commissioner is launching a "precautionary" inquiry into the facial recognition trial of grocery retailer Foodstuffs North Island, NewstalkZB reports. The facial recognition technology used at Foodstuffs will be monitored to ensure compliance with the Privacy Act.
