New Zealand's Office of the Privacy Commissioner announced the launch of NotifyUs, a tool aimed at allowing organizations to understand whether a privacy breach is notifiable. "We want the privacy breach pre-assessment and reporting process to be straightforward," Privacy Commissioner John Edwards said. "NotifyUs has undergone extensive testing ahead of (Monday’s) launch to ensure the guidance is clear and easy to follow." The tool was launched in anticipation of the Privacy Act 2020 taking effect Dec. 1.
