Ever wonder what a privacy commissioner gets out of an IAPP conference? Read the daily diary, then, of New Zealand Privacy Commissioner John Edwards, who has provided two posts about his trip to the United States for the IAPP Global Privacy Summit. Day one saw him traveling with fellow privacy and data protection commissioners all over Washington as part of "DPA Day," meeting with the likes of the Census Bureau's Center for Disclosure Avoidance Research, NIST, a variety of advocacy groups, and the FTC.
