Philippines National Privacy Commissioner Raymund Enriquez Liboro said guidelines on the use of closed-circuit TV systems should be released by “(year end),” The Philippine Star reports. The guidelines are being worked on as CCTV systems are being used by local government units and businesses throughout the country, Liboro said. Batangas Rep. Mark Mendoza has proposed a bill that would require government agencies and local government units to install CCTV systems along roads. “CCTVs provide accurate and real-time traffic situations and video information of road accidents,” Mendoza said.
