The Philippines National Privacy Commission launched an investigation into alleged improper use and mishandling of personal data from contact-tracing forms, Philstar reports. Filipino businesses are required to have customers fill out contact-tracing forms, but the government did not specify a uniform format for the forms, causing data minimization concerns. In a statement, the NPC said the "improper use of logbooks and the lack of appropriate data-protection measures" are the chief concerns with current collection practices.
