Following its investigation into the use of Google Analytics, Norway's data protection authority, Datatilsynet, issued a preliminary conclusion finding the tool breaches the EU General Data Protection Regulation's data transfer rules. The DPA reiterated its recommendation that companies seek alternatives to Google Analytics and said a formal decision could come at the end of April with "more detailed information about what applies and what our expectations are for Norwegian websites."
